The medium ensures high viability of enteropathogens such as Salmonella, Vibrio, Escherichia coli, Shigella, and Campylobacter. Thanks to these properties, the medium is particularly suitable for epidemiological investigations and for situations in which samples must be transported over longer distances to a central diagnostic laboratory. The set complies with relevant European legislation: The transport tube is manufactured in accordance with IVD Directive 97/79/EC. The swab is manufactured in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC, classified as Class IIa, sterile, including amendments introduced by Directive 2007/47/EC. These certifications make the set suitable for use in clinics, laboratories, medical practices, and diagnostic facilities. The tube is made of polypropylene and is fitted with a polyethylene cap featuring innovative Capture Cap technology, ensuring secure retention of the transport medium.
